If you're sitting at your desk, planning your big trip for 2015, then these 5 reasons to #gotoReunion should get you very excited!

An active volcano!

One of the world's mostactive volcanoes, the Piton de la Fournaise is safe for visitors to see up-close! Seismic experts monitor every aspect of the volcano, which flows away from any inhabited areas and into the sea when it erupts and is safe for viewing.

Gorgeous graffiti

Beautiful graffiti can be seen all over the island and tells many stories about the local culture and arts scene. Some of the islands artists, like Jace and Kid Kreole & Boogie are famous all around the world for their stunning pieces!

Stunning sights

There are so many beautiful sights to see all over the island. Nature is truly the crown jewel, with turquoise waters, dense forests and jungles and the volcano to see. The best way to see the island is from the air, so try to book a flight in a microlite before you leave.

A cultural hotspot

There's a place in the sun for everyone on Reunion Island, which is home to a variety of cultures all living in harmony. Depending on the time of year you're visiting, you could even take part in a traditional Tamil or Chinese festival.

Foodie delights

There are many delicious foods to try on the island, including the Creole tapas! A plate of samosas, "falafels" and pork dumplings pairs perfectly with an ice cold Dodo beer!
